Russian-American soprano Veronica Bell has gained international acclaim for her distinct style of performing well-known music in a uniquely charismatic and personal way. Everything she does, including her latest classical crossover album, Midnight Affairs, released in April of 2019 (preview can be found HERE), is a reflection of her unconventional take on classical music. She has a big voice and a big personality, and she is not afraid to use either.
“Midnight Affairs is a great CD” - K-MOZART CLASSICAL, Los Angeles, CA
"Wonderful!!!" - WMNR American Jukebox, Monroe, CT
"Nice selection of music and beautiful voice" - West Virginia Public Broadcast Radio, Nationwide, WV

Veronica's collaboration with Norwegian composer and guitarist Gisle Krogseth resulted, along with their frequent joined concerts in Los Angeles and a tour in Italy in 2016, in a recording of Mr. Krogseth's song cycle The Mountain Songs for soprano and symphony orchestra. It premiered with great success on Norwegian National Radio in May of 2018 and is now available on iTunes and Spotify; a full version preview can be found HERE
She was still a student when she was accepted as a leading soprano to the Moscow State Opera. As happy and honored as Veronica was by this early recognition of her talent, she soon felt limited by the operatic repertoire. “Opera is just not enough,” she says, “There is so much great music in the world!” After receiving her Master's in Voice, she moved to the US and focused exclusively on concert performance. It allowed her the freedom to include different styles of music into her repertoire, ranging from opera to operetta to Broadway to cabaret.
Veronica started her career in the United States by being discovered by a Hollywood director, James Gray, who asked her to record two songs, Love is Sacred and Reveille by G. Sviridov, for his motion picture Little Odessa starring Tim Roth, Vanessa Redgrave, and Maximilian Schell (New Line Cinema, soundtrack available on Amazon) Love is Sacred was later chosen to be the main theme of the movie.
Since settling in California, Veronica has toured throughout the United States as well as Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Guatemala, and Thailand, where she was personally invited by HM Queen Sirikit of Thailand to perform a Recital Series at the Royal Palace in Bangkok on the occasion of Her Majesty’s 60th birthday. Veronica returned to Moscow multiple times to packed concert halls for the Oratorio concerts and solo recitals.
She has collaborated as a soloist with many symphonic, theatrical, dance, and choral groups such as Moscow State Symphony, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, Capella Cracoviensis, Mimoda Jazzo, musical theater Wandering Stars, and currently has an ongoing engagement with a Los Angeles based group Windsong Players Chamber Ensemble performing a wide variety of music, from Baroque to modern.
In 2013, following her natural tendency to push the envelope, Ms. Bell recorded a cross-gender operatic album, Les Frissons D'Amour (unreleased), that included arias originally written for both male and female voices. In November of the same year, Veronica submitted it to Hollywood Music in Media Awards and won in the Best Female Vocalist category. In 2016, she received a Silver Medal from the Global Music Awards for the same recording. Currently, the album is ongoing significant changes in repertoire and interpretation and will be officially released on Valentine's Day of 2023.
In 2020, Ms. Bell won an International Music Award in Belgrade, Serbia, and the Clouzine International Music Award as Best Female Classical Vocalist.
Veronica loves collaborating with contemporary composers and often premiers their vocal music. She has performed and recorded compositions by Maximilian Simoncic (Slovakia), Ron Caviani (Italy), JJ Hollingsworth (USA), Arkady Serper (Russia), Ruben Aghiyan (USA), Michael Margulis (Russia-USA), Carol Worthey (USA), Gisle Krogseth (Norway)
In 2019, Veronica traveled to Guatemala, where she gave two concerts and visited Esperanza Juvenil School for gifted underprivileged children. She is currently working with the foundation Boys Hope Girls Hope on a fundraising project for the school that will include a Gala Concert with the participation of professional musicians, including herself, along with the school choir and orchestra.
Veronica released her Christmas album, The Soul Of December, Volumes 1 and 2 (preview can be found HERE), in December of 2021 and 2022 and is currently working on three new recordings. Her next European tour has been rescheduled for the fall of 2022 due to the pandemic. During the lockdown, Ms. Bell produced the online music series HAPPY HOUR WITH BELL AND FRIENDS live-streamed every Sunday on social media. In 2022, Veronica returned to Paris for a New Year's Eve concert and, in the summer of 2023, to Vienna. Her next album of operatic arias is due to come out on Valentine's Day in 2025.
